Inside a home on the 5300 block of Broadmoor Bluffs Drive, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department discovered the body of 39-year-old Elaine Marie Sindlesecker. The initial call to police had come in around 7:40 p.m. on June 28, 2024, reporting a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Elaine Sindlesecker deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Her death was quickly ruled a homicide, marking the 20th such investigation in the city for the year.
