In the late hours of November 11, 1988, what initially appeared to be a single-car accident on West 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in Denver took a grim turn for first responders. The driver, Geoffrey Cagle, a 34-year-old white male, was discovered to have sustained a gunshot wound.
