On April 28, 2018, David Robitaille, a 52-year-old man, lost his life to gun violence in Denver, Colorado. The incident led to the arrest and subsequent conviction of his son, Waylon Robitaille.

Waylon Robitaille was identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting of his father. Following the investigation, Waylon was charged with the crime and later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. The guilty plea was entered in April 2019, nearly a year after the incident.
