On a summer evening in Denver, Colorado, the life of 26-year-old Dominique Aikens was tragically cut short. The Black male was a passenger in a vehicle on June 2, 2001, when another car pulled alongside. Gunfire erupted from the separate vehicle, striking Aikens. He sustained a fatal gunshot wound and died as a result of the attack.
