On October 13, 2001, a tragic incident occurred in Denver, Colorado, resulting in the death of 14-year-old Jeremy Martinez. Jeremy was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate-70 near the Pecos Street exit when the incident took place. An unknown suspect in a second vehicle fired into the car that Jeremy was in, striking him.
