In the early morning hours of February 15, 2014, the life of 20-year-old Devante Hill, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Officers responded to a call near the Valley Hi Golf Course and discovered Hill with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead, marking the city's fourth homicide of the year.
