In the heart of downtown Denver, a life was tragically cut short on a Wednesday afternoon. Nathananel Mario Simpson, a 30-year-old man known to his loved ones as 'Nate,' was fatally shot on November 9, 2016. The incident, which also left another person wounded, unfolded in a parking lot on the 1600 block of Champa Street, a busy area near the 16th Street Mall.
