On the eve of Thanksgiving in 2021, a dispute over careless driving in an Aurora, Colorado neighborhood tragically escalated, ending the life of 17-year-old Peyton Blitstein. The young man, who had an interest in his Osage Nation heritage, was with friends when the fatal encounter occurred on November 24th. Blitstein was a male who was remembered by his family as a driven and motivated individual with an interest in the military, having been involved with the Young Marines.
