Leonardo Morales, 34, was fatally shot on August 22, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. Morales was killed after an encounter with two purported gang members at a bar in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood. According to sources, Morales had met the suspects, Carlos Cregan and another man, during the evening at a bar. During the course of their interaction, Morales revealed that he was a former member of the rival 2-6 street gang, which may have escalated tensions between them.
