On the evening of February 5, 2020, an act of gun violence in Lowell, Massachusetts, resulted in the death of 18-year-old Luis DeJesus. Lowell Police responded to reports of shots fired around 8:30 p.m. in the vicinity of L and Coburn streets. Upon arrival, they discovered DeJesus suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
