On July 20, 1993, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred in Portland's Old Town neighborhood. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot near the intersection of NW 6th Avenue and Burnside Street. One witness observed two African-American males and a white female approach a man known by the street name 'El Pelon.'
