Jeannette Kamahele, a 20-year-old student at Santa Rosa Junior College, was last seen on April 25, 1972, in Cotati, California. She left her residence at around 9:30 a.m., intending to hitchhike to school, a common mode of transportation during that time. A witness reported seeing her get into a faded brown Chevrolet pickup truck, likely from the early 1950s. The driver was described as a Caucasian male in his 20s or 30s with an Afro-style haircut.
