On June 18, 2010, at approximately 10:14 p.m., 41-year-old Shawn Decoal Crawford was fatally shot at the intersection of North Albina Avenue and Jessup Street in Portland, Oregon. He had just departed a residence in the 5700 block of North Albina when multiple gunshots were fired, causing him to collapse at the scene. A nearby Portland Police officer heard the gunfire and responded immediately, finding Crawford unresponsive on the ground. No suspects were observed upon the officer's arrival.
Detectives conducted interviews with individuals in the vicinity and learned that two male subjects were seen hastily leaving the area immediately after the gunshots were heard. Despite these leads, no arrests have been made in connection with Crawford's death. The case remains unsolved, and the Portland Police Bureau's Cold Case Homicide Unit continues to seek information from the public to aid in identifying the perpetrators.
