In the early morning hours of New Year's Eve 2015, the life of 18-year-old Jshaad Jones, a Black / African American male known to some as "Double O," was cut short by gunfire in Charleston, West Virginia. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. in a grassy lot behind the Kickback Lounge on Central Avenue. Jones, who was just one day shy of his 19th birthday, was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body and was later pronounced dead at CAMC General Hospital.
