In the early morning hours of June 26, 1981, a veteran police lieutenant's life was tragically cut short in Charleston, West Virginia. Delbert Junior Roush Sr., a 61-year-old male with 33 years of service with the Charleston Police Department, was shot and killed during a traffic stop. The incident unfolded around 3:00 a.m. on U.S. 60, near the interstate.
