On the evening of January 29, 2021, the community of Hamlin, West Virginia, was shaken by a violent incident that resulted in the death of Bobby Walden Jr., a 60-year-old White/Caucasian male. West Virginia State Police troopers were dispatched to a residence on Maple Street following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival after 10 p.m., they discovered Walden suffering from a gunshot wound.
