In the Melrose section of the Bronx, a sense of unease rippled through the community on a late Saturday night. On November 4, 2023, the life of 30-year-old David Disla, a male resident of the borough, was tragically cut short. The evening took a violent turn at approximately 11:10 p.m. when police received a distressing 911 call reporting a man had been shot.
