On a late Thursday night in Elkins, West Virginia, the life of 41-year-old Timothy Slayton, a Caucasian male, was cut short in a burst of violence. On November 18, 2021, gunshots echoed on Whiteman Avenue. Witnesses inside a residence heard the shots, followed by a knock at their door. When they opened it, they found Timothy Slayton leaning against the door, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He managed to tell them he had been shot before he was brought inside.
