In the early morning hours of April 21, 2015, the body of 22-year-old Donovan Nicholson, a White male from Belington, was discovered near the Town Square and Elkins Depot Welcome Center in Elkins, West Virginia. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The investigation into his death quickly focused on Derrick W.
