In the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 15, 2015, the life of 28-year-old Matthew Quinton Banks, a Black male, was tragically cut short. Inside a residence located in the 1200 block of Jefferson Street in Burlington, Iowa, Banks was shot multiple times. He was rushed to the Great River Medical Center ER in West Burlington, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
