On January 27, 2019, Kirk Struve, a 47-year-old Caucasian male from Granville, Iowa, died from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in Clay County, Iowa, while he was coyote hunting with a large group of people. At approximately 11:15 a.m., emergency services were dispatched to the area near County Highway B53 and 160th Avenue following a report of a hunting-related shooting.
