Adam Eugene Edgington was a 42-year-old White/Caucasian man from Nevada, Iowa, whose death came abruptly in the midst of a criminal case that had begun only days earlier. Edgington worked as an English teacher at Miller Middle School in the Marshalltown Community School District. On the night of July 8, 2021, authorities located him dead inside his vehicle in a field in rural Story County near Nevada.
