A 28-year-old Hispanic man named Jose Lopez was fatally shot in Des Moines, Iowa, on the evening of November 7, 2015. The incident, which took place in the vicinity of Southeast Sixth and Allen streets, was reported to police at approximately 10:20 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Lopez inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
