On November 6, 2015, at approximately 10:30 PM, 28-year-old Jose Lopez was fatally shot near the intersection of 13th and Jefferson in Des Moines, Iowa. The incident reportedly stemmed from a verbal dispute that escalated, leading to Lopez being shot with a shotgun.
