In the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2020, the life of a 14-year-old Black / African American male named Josiah Woods was tragically cut short in Des Moines, Iowa. Just before 4:00 a.m. on January 1st, Josiah was on the enclosed front porch of a residence in the 1400 block of 17th Street when he was struck by gunfire.
