Murdered

On January 23, 2023, Gionni Dameron, an 18-year-old from Des Moines, Iowa, lost his life in a tragic shooting incident. The event occurred at the Starts Right Here educational center, an alternative school in Des Moines.

Gionni Dameron was not the only victim of this incident; 16-year-old Rashad Carr also died in the same shooting. The perpetrator of the crime was identified as Preston Walls, who was later found guilty of two counts of murder in connection with their deaths.
