On a Tuesday evening, October 10, 1989, the life of Donovan Silence Davis, a 22-year-old Black male also known as Marlon S. Brown, was tragically cut short in Norwalk, Connecticut. Patrolling officers discovered him lying face down in a pool of blood in the middle of Grove Street in South Norwalk at approximately 8:08 p.m. Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced him deceased. A subsequent autopsy would reveal that he had been fatally shot in the back of the neck with a shotgun.
