In the early morning hours of February 4, 2023, what initially appeared to be a single-car crash on Route 7 in Norwalk, Connecticut, soon revealed a much darker story. Inside the vehicle was 35-year-old John Gavilanes, a Black/African American male from Norwalk, who was found unresponsive in the driver's seat and pronounced dead at the scene.
