Death by Force

On August 1, 2014, at approximately 9:47 p.m., New Haven police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Kensington and Chapel streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered two 26-year-old men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as Tyrese Jones, an Elm Street resident, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around midnight.
