On February 23, 2020, 18-year-old Dashown Tyrese Myers was fatally shot at the Quinnipiac Ridge Apartments, located at 1425 Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven, Connecticut. The incident occurred around 3:48 p.m., when police responded to reports of gunfire and found Myers inside Unit 27, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
