On December 7, 2013, 23-year-old Shamar Willett of New Haven, Connecticut, tragically lost his life due to a gunshot wound to the chest. The incident occurred at his residence on Harding Place. Emergency responders transported Willett to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
