On the evening of November 8, 2022, Mark Pappacoda, a 61-year-old White male and lifelong resident of New Haven, Connecticut, was fatally shot in what police have described as an attempted robbery. The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the GI Package Store located at 282 Ferry Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood.
