On June 6, 2021, at approximately 4:19 a.m., New Haven police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire on the 100 block of Springside Avenue in the West Rock neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 37-year-old Miguel Ramos, a city resident, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
