On July 18, 2015, Jonathan Whaley, a 34-year-old father of seven, was fatally shot outside his residence at 13 Elliott Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. following an argument that escalated into violence. Whaley sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower torso and was pronounced dead at the hospital. A second individual, Bruce Banks, aged 22, suffered a minor head injury during the altercation but survived.
