On August 8, 2021, 17-year-old Juan Bautista-Garcia, known in the music world as "YNT Juan," was fatally shot in Hartford, Connecticut. Around 5:30 p.m., Hartford police responded to reports of gunfire on Martin Street and discovered Bautista-Garcia unresponsive inside a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
