On a Friday afternoon in Hartford, Connecticut, the life of 37-year-old Jason Reddick, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on January 20, 2017, near Albany Avenue and Garden Street. First responders found Reddick at 520 Albany Avenue with a gunshot wound to his torso. He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
