In the early morning hours of July 20, 2016, the life of 40-year-old Caucasian male James T. "Tommy" Stuart was tragically cut short in his third-floor apartment on Marion Avenue in Waterbury, Connecticut. His death was the result of a violent intrusion that ended in a hail of gunfire, leaving a community of friends and family reeling with grief. The events of that morning unfolded into a murder-suicide, perpetrated by an off-duty Waterbury police officer.
