On a late Friday evening in Waterbury, Connecticut, the life of Timothy Hughes, a 39-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On September 10, 2021, at approximately 11:35 p.m., the sounds of gunfire pierced the night in the Southview Street area. Responding to reports of shots fired, police officers arrived at the scene to a grim discovery.
