In the pre-dawn hours of August 11, 2017, the life of 21-year-old JaJuan Benavides was tragically cut short on Anson Street in Derby, Connecticut. Police responded to reports of shots fired just before 2 a.m. and found that Benavides, a male from Naugatuck, had been shot multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
