On June 26, 2019, 30-year-old Caron Mikal Andre Canty was fatally shot in Hartford, Connecticut. The incident occurred near 31 Winchester Street, where police responded to reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found Canty with critical injuries; he was later pronounced dead. A second victim, 32-year-old Richard Johnson, sustained gunshot wounds to the torso but survived after receiving medical treatment.
