In the early hours of a Sunday morning, on May 23, 2021, the life of 26-year-old Jassmin Lewis, a female resident of East Hartford, Connecticut, was tragically cut short. The incident that led to her untimely death unfolded at the Buggy Bath Car Wash located on Homestead Avenue in Hartford. At approximately 1:57 a.m., the Hartford Police Department was alerted to the sound of gunfire in the area through a ShotSpotter activation.
