On April 20, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Hartford, Connecticut, resulting in the death of 12-year-old Se'Cret Pierce. Se'Cret, a seventh grader at Milner Middle School, was an innocent bystander when she was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting.
