An 18-year-old Black male named Anthony Strother was fatally shot on the night of May 16, 2022, in New Haven, Connecticut. The incident occurred on South Genesee Street, in the vicinity of East Ramsdell Street and Harper Avenue. Responding to a report of a person shot at approximately 11:20 p.m., police officers discovered Strother at the scene with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
