On May 15, 1993, 62-year-old Patrolman Henry Lee Callanen of the Little Rock Police Department was fatally shot while working an off-duty security job at a local McDonald's restaurant. As he attempted to make a bank deposit for the restaurant, he was confronted by two suspects and tragically killed during the encounter.
