On March 16, 1997, Sergeant Myron Kelly of the Osceola Police Department in Arkansas was fatally shot while conducting a search of a residence. Accompanied by two fellow officers, Sergeant Kelly was attempting to locate a suspect who was concealed in a bedroom closet.
