In the late hours of a Monday in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the life of 25-year-old Quincy Wilbon was tragically cut short. On April 27, 2015, shots rang out in the 2900 block of E. Washington Street, prompting a response from the North Little Rock Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered evidence of a shooting, but the victim was nowhere to be found.
A short time later, Quincy, a Black male, arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The investigation into his death began immediately, with his body being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. Authorities appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the identification of those responsible for this violent act. A 24-hour tip line was established for anyone who might have witnessed the events of that night or had any knowledge that could aid the investigation.
In the days that followed, Quincy's family and friends mourned his passing. A visitation was held on May 8, followed by a homegoing celebration on May 9, 2015, at Damascus Spiritual Church in North Little Rock. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified. The case remains an unsolved homicide, leaving a community and a family still seeking answers and justice for the loss of a young man.
