La'Darrious Galburth, 25, a male from Little Rock, was shot to death on April 29, 2015. Police found him in the driver’s seat of a car on East Capitol Avenue after the vehicle had collided with another, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. News reports identified him as the victim in the East Capitol homicide that afternoon, confirming his name and age and noting he had been killed while seated behind the wheel.

The shooting unfolded in broad daylight, around 3:45 p.m., near 1900–1901 E. Capitol Avenue. Officers arriving on scene saw the wrecked car and a chaotic aftermath: a second victim, 20-year-old Kenteria Baines, lay on the ground with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her hip, while another passenger in the back seat was uninjured. A witness told police that a man came up to the vehicle and “just started shooting,” and other bystanders reported hearing gunfire and then seeing six to eight people running from the park area before a suspect fled in a white vehicle.
Within a day, detectives named Kevious “Keke” Foster, 22, as the suspect in Galburth’s killing and released a wanted notice for first-degree murder and first-degree battery in the East Capitol shooting. Two days later, on May 1, 2015, Foster arrived at police headquarters with his attorney and turned himself in. Coverage at the time emphasized that a second, nearly simultaneous homicide across town was not related to Galburth’s case. Subsequent public records and contemporaneous reporting do not document a publicly reported final court disposition in Galburth’s case, but the initial identification of Foster as the suspect and his surrender were confirmed by police statements to the press.
