In the winter of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Zayana Coakley was tragically cut short in Little Rock, Arkansas. On either January 18th or 19th, the young woman fell victim to fatal gun violence, a stark entry in the city's grim tally of homicides for the year. Her death was a sudden and violent end to a life that had just begun to unfold. Zayana was a resident of Little Rock at the time of her passing.
