In the early morning hours of February 26, 2022, the life of 36-year-old Martina Edmondson, a Black female from Little Rock, Arkansas, was tragically cut short. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:34 a.m., Little Rock Police Department officers arrived at a residence in the 2100 block of Scotty Court. Inside an upstairs bedroom, they made a grim discovery.
There, they found Martina Edmondson and 38-year-old Eric Rounds, both suffering from what appeared to be gunshot
wounds. Medical first responders were called to the scene, but their efforts were in vain as both individuals were pronounced deceased. Their bodies were subsequently taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death. The deaths of Edmondson and Rounds marked the 11th and 12th homicides in the city of Little Rock for that year.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led detectives to identify a person of interest. Mark Mosley, 42 years old at the time, was developed as a suspect in the case. He was located and taken into custody by law enforcement on the same day as the shooting. Following his arrest, Mosley was charged with two counts of capital murder for the deaths of Martina Edmondson and Eric Rounds.
