On May 8, 2017, 24-year-old Israel Balvino Choxon was fatally shot outside his residence at 8309 Stanton Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. Choxon had just returned home after purchasing diapers from a local store when he was approached by an unknown assailant. Family members reported that the suspect, whose face was concealed with a white t-shirt, attacked Choxon in an apparent attempt to steal his vehicle.
A struggle ensued, during which the assailant forcibly removed Choxon from his car and shot him. The suspect was described as a male in his mid-20s, driving a four-door brown Nissan Maxima.
