On August 14, 2018, at approximately 5 p.m., Little Rock Police Department officers responded to a shooting at the Windamere Townhouses and Apartments on Dreher Lane. Upon arrival, they found 28-year-old Christopher Nixon outside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Nixon succumbed to his injuries.
