In the late afternoon of August 14, 2018, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of an apartment complex on Dreher Lane in Little Rock, Arkansas. When the echo of the shots faded, 28-year-old Christopher Nixon lay grievously wounded outside his vehicle in the parking lot, having been struck by multiple bullets.
